comspace visits the Sitecore Trendspot and Partner Day 2013
In the end of November four of our colleagues from the departments of project management and development have participated in the Sitecore Digital Trendspot and the Sitecore partner day in Hamburg – an opportunity to get to know and to exchange views with Sitecore colleagues and other Sitecore partners.
Sitecore Digital Trendspot 2013 introduces interesting CMS approaches
The annual worldwide series of events by Sitecore about digital trends and challenges in the fields of Enterprise Content Management, online marketing, E-Business and personalized digital communication was opened by Michael Hack, the new Sitecore Managing Director of the Sitecore Deutschland GmbH. After a keynote by the namics agency about the topic “The end of the beginning of digital marketing” the participants got insights regarding successful strategies, concepts and solutions for content management and customer experience management by way of Sitecore case studies. Among other things the ClayTablet module for efficient translations was introduced. Together with the worldwide active translation agency LionBridge and this module, content can be translated and published automated and in a cost- and time- efficient way. A solution that is most interesting for some of our internationally operating customers.
Furthermore, the Sitecore Site of the Year Awards (SOTY) for the best Sitecore websites 2013 was awarded.
Our colleagues sized the day for an active exchange with the Sitecore partner managers and developer colleagues to discuss current project situations and corresponding solution approaches.
Sitecore partner day with a lot of technical and sales information
The evening event in the restaurant “Das Seepferdchen” was the relaxing start for the Sitecore
partner day, to which all Sitecore solution partners were invited.
The following day started with a keynote by Michael Hack and a note about the new strategic orientation of the new partner landscape given by the partner manager Timo Wolters. This partner landscape is, among other things, characterized by uniform partner-contracts and a three-step arrangement of the partners.
The following workshops about business and technics were about a variety of Sitecore solutions, technic- and sales “tricks”. Both of our developers gained a deeper insight regarding the current Sitecore release 7.0 in the course of the technical-tracks. The new version offers exiting features with the item buckets, the additional module Adaptive Print Studio and the email campaign manager. Furthermore they discussed the question of how to successfully install a Digital Marketing System (DMS) project.
