comspace and WAGA win Online-Budget of the Xella-Group
In a pitch about the online budget of the Duisburger Xella-Group, the leading manufacturer for high thermal insulation and solid wall construction, we, together with our partner from Düsseldorf for trade mark and design WAGA, were able to prevail. The project requirement for the two agencies was to transfer the many different Web site projects of the Xella group, including the brands YTONG, Silka, Multipor, Hebel, Fermacell and Fels as well as the subsidiaries, to a contemporary web presence.
Therefore a modern and clearly structured layout needed to be created, which united all Xella brands under one optical roof in a clearly visible way. It was also important to ensure an optimal mobile presentation of the websites to thus take into account the ever increasing use of mobile devices.
developed a comprehensive design system on the basis of the existing corporate design, which we have implemented in the responsive web design. This ensures an optimal information presentation on all terminal devices – smartphones, tablets and desktop screens.
The websites are based, as previously, on OpenText Web Site Management
. The update performed by us to the latest OpenText version 11, results in a more stable and quicker content management system, which makes content management significantly easier and more efficient for the editors. We are also responsible for the continuous development and IT support.
"More digital success with existing resources." This is the summarized objective of the initial conversations with Xella, describes our Managing Director Michael Steinfort the project. "The update of the CMS technology including content migration, the consolidation of the platform and a gain regarding agility for the departments of the Xella customers are achieved."
Xella manufactures and distributes building materials (YTONG and Hebel aerated concrete, Silka lime sandstone, Multipor mineral insulation panels), lime and limestone (Fels), as well as plaster and cement-bonded drywall and fire protection boards (Fermacell and Fermacell Aestuver). The Xella group achieved a turnover of EUR 1.25 billion in fiscal year 2013 with around 7.230 employees. The private equity companies PAI Partners and Goldman Sachs Capital Partners are the owners of Xella.
